Hi! My name is Amy, and I am THE Girl In Paradise. What I mean by that is that my home is my own paradise. I am married to a wonderful man, and we have 3 boys. Matt, 10, Christian, 8, and Caleb, 3. We are a blended family and Caleb is the only child that we have together. We manage our chaotic life in our own special way, and it seems to work for us.
I grew up in a small town in North East Texas, graduated from high school there, and then moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas. I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology in 1993. I, then, worked in Child Protective Services for 6 years, completing investigations in to allegations of abuse and neglect. After my first son was born, I decided that it was time for me to move on. My next postion was in the criminal justice field for 4 years. I am currently a Mental Health Consultant for children and families who are involved with a federally supported preschool program.
I love to surf the internet, play around in Photoshop, and spend time with my family. I was a digital scrapbook designer for about 2 years, but decided that it just took too much time from my family. I enjoy finding out about new products that will benefit my family, whether for organizing, entertainment, or anything! I enjoy cooking for my family, and love to try out new recipes. I share information about the joys of raising a family of boys, and provide information directly related to boys of all ages.
I love building relationships with my family and friends by just spending time living life together. It doesn't have to be anything special, just being together and really getting to know one another.
